David Winnard Chartered Financial Planner / Independent Financial Adviser
I have worked in the Financial Services industry for 25 years.
I initially joined the industry as Financial Adviser for a large Life Insurance provider before joining a major UK Bancassurer where I worked for 17 years. During this time, I worked as a Branch-based Financial Adviser, Line Manager and Area Business Development Manager. Following the closure of the Bancassurance Division and voluntary redundancy, I took the opportunity to work as a Self-Employed Financial Adviser for 5 years where I built a successful business from scratch.
However, the opportunity arose to work as an Independent Financial Adviser for Thomson Hayton Winkley Financial Services and now I provide trusted, holistic financial advice to clients who have a wide range of financial needs and goals. I pride myself in giving easy to understand financial advice to my clients, by putting what can often be complex financial matters into easy-to-understand language. I have continued my professional studies and have recently attained the Level 6 Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and Chartered Financial Planner status.
Outside of work, I am married with a son who is about to graduate at the University of Liverpool.
My hobbies include cycling, fell walking and eating out, and I enjoy raising monies for charitable causes in particular Cancer Research and MIND.
